ECC Latvia and CRPC warns consumers against buying “Dinner in the Sky” tickets

The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (CRPC) and the European Consumer Centre in Latvia (ECC Latvia) are issuing a warning to all consumers after receiving complaints about the “Dinner in the Sky” event. This event, which took place this summer in the Spīķeri quarter in Riga, was organized by the Estonian-registered companies Skyword Entertainment OU and/or Skyword Holding OU.

The company failed to provide the event to all who had purchased tickets. ECC Latvia continues to receive complaints from consumers about company’s refusal to issue refunds following the cancellation and/or postponement of the events.

Since the service provider is a company registered in Estonia, ECC Latvia is cooperating with its Estonian colleagues (ECC Estonia) to help consumers resolve these cross-border disputes. At the moment, market surveillance institutions are unaware of the reasons for non-refunding the money, as the Estonian company is not cooperating with them and is not responding to requests. This makes it difficult for consumers to successfully get their money back.

Given that the company has already started selling tickets for August 2026, we urge you to carefully evaluate the possible risks of purchasing tickets for this event, as there is a high risk that consumers may not receive a refund of the money paid if the event is cancelled or postponed.

ECC Latvia is a structural unit of the Consumer Rights Protection Centre that provides free information and assistance to consumers in resolving cross-border disputes with traders from other European Union countries, Norway, Iceland, and the United Kingdom.
